Cumberland River Pit Stop

While passing through Kentucky,  I stopped to get a quick fishing fix and try for one of those huge Stripers that the Cumberland is famous for. Apparently the big fish hadn't made it that far up stream as of yet. Little did I know, the Cumberland is a great Trout and White Bass fishery too.

I had only five hours to fish but they told me that
this Brown Trout is a baby for the Cumberland.

The Brook Trout, Rainbows, Skipjack and White Bass kept us busy.

They also tell me that there are huge Walleyes in there which only makes this fishery more interesting. For info on the Cumberland River directly downstream from Lake Cumberland, contact Cumberland River Adventures of Jamestown, Ky.
